The Book of Romans pt 5

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

I have been recently watching videos on creation and evolution. In fact, it is an interest of mine. I am a strange duck when it comes to how I view it, though. Time and time again I see that people who teach creation science teach it because evolution is wrong. They don't always have good intentions. They don't always have good ideas. The don't always have a proper perception.

I say this as someone who believes in a literal 6 day creation 6,000-10,000 years ago (I don't know that we can give a valid year, but we can come close). What I've been looking at lately has been fascinating. You really can learn a lot. There are a lot of arguments, even among other young earth creationists. However, what I find that a lot are missing is the perception of the principalities and powers. Many times it seems like they believe that evolution is at fault for the degradation of society. Many times they thing atheists are the reason evolution is being taught. Neither of these are true. It was first conceived by Satan and then played out by human pawns.

I make this statement because I have felt the need to write out some of what I've been learning lately. These aren't scientific claims that I'm about to make. These are things that I have recently heard of that colleges are teaching and courses are being developed around these things. Our youth are being indoctrinated into a certain kind of mindset that looks too Nazi to ignore. I can't help but think that the persecution of Christians (concentration camps and violence, not just the suppression we experience today) is coming within the next decade or two. I don't see how it can be any longer.

So the focus of this is on that verse that says, "Proclaiming to be wise, they became fools..." Because men have hardened their hearts to God and have given themselves over to deception, they have been brought further and further into foolishness and lies. Have you heard that we are no longer homo sapiens? We are now homo sapien sapien. We are the "wise wise man." Just when did we become the wise wise man instead of just the wise man? Professing themselves wise they became fools.
